Me with a very well-disguised Clifton nonpareil Catocala fraxini

Wil J. Heeney

I have been studying invertebrates since around 2010 beginning with beetles and moths before spreading into other groups like Diptera, Hymenoptera, and Hemiptera. I run the National Longhorn Beetle Recording Scheme and sit on the Coleopterist Society of Britain and Ireland as the Conservation Officer. If I’m not at the microscope or in the field collecting, generally I’ll be found at the guitar. In 2023 I started Flauna Ecology.
